Christian McGee comes from a IT support and systems administration background. Since graduating from the University of Tasmania in 1991, with a Bachelor of Applied Computing, he has worked for the computing school in its many incarnations - the latest of which is the School of Computing & Information Systems. Since 2008, up to 50% of his workload has been assigned to providing technical support and expertise for the HIT Lab AU foundation project. He is currently busy with the installation of the VisionSpace and Access Grid. Christian is a born and breed Launcestonian who lives within close walking distance to the Newnham campus with his wife and 3 children of primary school age. Christian considers himself an IT professional who enjoys working with the latest IT technologies to produce solutions to real world problems that keep end users happy and productive.
